An intimate, stylish celebration with soul featured on Hello May

Jess and Luke’s day was real, effortless and cinematic. The kind of wedding you don’t just witness, but feel. I had the pleasure of documenting their Melbourne wedding and I’m stoked to say it’s been featured on Hello May, a publication that always gets it right when it comes awesome love stories.

Jess and Luke weren’t interested in stiff poses or overly styled perfection. They wanted the real stuff, the laughter, movement and in-between moments.

From Jess’s stunning dress by Shona Joy, and flowers by Ramble, every detail felt like an extension of who they are. They chose to keep it simple and meaningful, no bridal party, no fuss, just them, surrounded by their closest people.

Afterwards, we wandered the city together, no plan, just light, shadows, and laughter. My favourite kind of portrait session. No one rushing. Just the two of them being themselves.

The reception was held at Cumulus Inc, a space that perfectly matched their vibe: modern, warm, and stylish. There was dancing, a tequila shot or two, and the kind of speeches that leave you wiping away tears while trying not to ruin your lens.

These two trusted me completely, and that’s something I never take for granted. It’s in that trust that the best work happens, when people feel safe enough to be seen as they are.

Jess and Luke, thank you for letting me in. And to any couples reading this, if you’re looking for wedding photography that’s full of heart, fun, and a bit of grit – I’d love to tell your story too.
