Carmen & Ben

Altar Electric, Abbotsford
Wax Lounge, Melbourne CBD

Some weddings feel like a slow build. This one had its own rhythm, starting off quiet, ending in amazing chaos, with everything in between right where it needed to be.

We began at Fitzroy Gardens. Just the three of us, no noise, no rush. A moment to breathe before it all kicked off. There’s something about that part of the day, when it’s still just a pair of people standing across from each other, taking it all in. No one telling them where to be or what to do.

Then Altar Electric set the tone. The space was alive from the moment we stepped in, bold colours, warm light, and an atmosphere that felt both intimate and full of energy.
The crowd was already buzzing, their energy syncing perfectly with the electric vibe of the venue.

From there, the night shifted into full party mode at Wax Music Lounge on Flinders St. The lights dropped, the music cranked up. It wasn’t just a dance floor, it was a performance. Carmen & Ben jumped right in, joining the band, and rocking out. Hair messy, shoes off, voices half gone, the joy was undeniable! It was a night that didn’t need to be perfect, it was wild and raw and absolutely unforgettable.
